I was given this box labeled “God”. In the box were all the instructions I needed. Here was what to know, how to pray and how to behave. It was all based on the idea that if I didn’t go along I’d get burned forever.

By naming the mystery, God, my concept of spirit was limited. My soul was also in a box, binding it to an inert set of beliefs and rules.

Once I began thinking in terms of the Great Mystery, my soul became unbound and able to respond to its call. I am being guided in my growth and becoming more useful to all my relations.
